  • Should I leave my integrated amp on all the time?

Amplifiers shouldn’t be left on, as internal parts — like the filament — can wear out after long-term and constant heat exposure. High-quality and reliable amps can remain on for hours, days, or weeks without suffering damage. However, it’s best to turn your amps off when you’re not using them.

    Pivetta Opera Only
#1. $2,200,000 – Pivetta Opera Only Sitting atop all others is the Bugatti of amplifiers, the Pivetta “Opera Only.” This beast of an amp pumps out an outrageous 120,000 watts of power broken out into six 20,000 watt class-A amplifier channels.

Should I turn my amp off at night?

In general though, I would agree that there is no reason to leave your amp on all the time unless you are turning it on and off many many times a day. At the very least you can turn it off when you go to sleep or leave the house for school/work. And for tube amps, I would turn them off whenever I am not using them.

Do amplifiers draw power when off?

Some amplifiers draw current when no remote voltage is applied. 0.045 amps of current shouldn’t draw down a good battery unless the vehicle is only infrequently driven. For a daily driver, it’s insignificant.
